Cool Art Our
Favorites in Champaign-Urbana The slop barrel is a large bucket
in the studio into which we put clay trimmings and scraps. These scraps
are reworked back into usable clay to make the next batch of work.

Today our plop
vases debut on our Etsy
store. They have been hot sellers this summer at art fairs and they
are only $5! Pick from turquoise, red or kiwi.
We returned from Minneapolis earlier this week and are excited to have a break from art fairs this weekend. - Patty ![]() ![]()

We had a great time in Madison, WI. We sold out of our little plop vases
and almost sold out of our soap
dish/spoon rest trays! The past weekend was a much needed break
from art fairs, we even had time to see the new Batman movie!
I thought I'd mention something non pottery related for once. There is a new piece of "public art" close to the studio and I can't help crack a smile every time I drive by. It's been there for a while and I recently pointed it out to Michael who also couldn't stop laughing. - Patty
We arrived back in Champaign on Monday from Boston
Mills ArtFest and are firing a last minute kiln before we had to
Art
Fair on the Square in Madison, WI this weekend. We had fun in Cleveland
seeing old friends, and meeting new ones.
New work for Madison may include little "plop" vases. We made about 90 of these and have our fingers crossed that they will turn out as nice as we have envisioned. ![]() ![]()

Exciting for us is the break we'll have the weekend following Madison!
We have been working 7 days a week for quite a while and are in need
of a break. Michael even described Patty as homicidal...
Thought you would enjoy seeing Michael's kiln god, I know that I always do. -Patty

We are almost out the door on our way to Cleveland, OH this weekend
for Boston
Mills Artfest and decided we had to post this image. Michael made
a red splash wall tile and it unintentionally looks like a deer. We
are slightly disturbed and at the same time think it looks pretty awesome!
Things in the studio have been crazy, we have a lot of shows coming up, check out our events page to see when we will be in your area! - Patty ![]() |
